Last year Matt graduated in May, but his job didn't start until August so we decided to take an extended vacation to Seattle until his job started. Well this year it looks like we will be here for an extended summer vacation again. We found out June 1st that Matt was being laid off from his job. What to say about that...well, we're bummed. It's also been pretty stressful since we're due to have our little girl the beginning of August. Needless to say the last couple of months have been filled with packing, looking for a new job, figuring out insurance, and trying to develop more faith. We will so miss our California friends and California adventures.
Fortunately we have an amazing family who has been so supportive. We have a great place to live while we wait for little peanut to come. Chelsea has loved being with Grammy and Rumpa. I've enjoyed her having Grammy and Rumpa to play with since I am increasingly uncomfortable and tired. So many people have advised us to enjoy this time...to not get to overwhelmed and stressed out. It's hard to have that mindset when we don't know what the future holds, but we're taking it one day at a time.
